Language Courses and Online Courses Can Enhance Your Life!
This is where I write about one of my enduring passions: education. And more particularly: continuing education as an adult.
Too many folk think that when they leave school, or even graduate from university, that’s it. They know enough. And there is no need to learn any more.
Thing is, we never stop learning! And taking the time to continue with your education until the day you die is, I believe, a great way of delaying that day!
The world never stops growing, and to keep up with it we need to keep upgrading our minds.
In my own career, once I’d graduated I soon realised that a BA was not quite enough, so I went straight back to university and enrolled in a specialist Masters’ course. I then took a course specific to the industry I was moving into, which I then supplemented with courses in general use of computers and databases, followed by a series of courses in specific web technologies. The last course I attended was in November 2010, and each time I feel incredibly fired up.
I may sound like an adult learning addict, but as I now work alone in a field that is always changing, I feel that it is part of my job to keep up with the latest developments. That is why I keep my clients! They know I invest in my education, and I know it means I’m doing a better job for them.
In the past I have taught business English courses, both abroad and from language schools in Brighton. I have also been involved in creating courses for IELTS preparation. The IELTS exam is a vital part of preparing people for continuing education in English, as both universities and providers of online management courses require a IETLS score of more than 6.5 as an entrance requirement. And as English is the lingua franca of global commerce and education, a good score in your IELTS test is a key that opens so many doors.
I have clients who provide online management courses as well as English language courses, so as I find out more I will be posting here. I hope you get inspired to keep learning!
